Announcement of Sui (SUI) Token Sale on KuCoin Spotlight

Note: U.S. persons and residents are not eligible for participation in the sale or distribution of SUI

KuCoin will be launching the 25th Spotlight Token Sale with Sui (SUI) at 23:00 on April 14, 2023 (UTC). There will be 2 ways to participate in the SUI token sale: (A) Hold & Gain Lottery Tickets For General Public Sale OR (B) receive confirmation that you are an eligible Ecosystem Contributor on the Allowlist.

Spotlight Token Sale Details (Pool A): KuCoin General Public Sale

1. Spotlight Hard Cap: 22,500,000 USD
2. Spotlight Allocation: 225,000,000 SUI
3. Total Winning Tickets: 22,500 Tickets
4. Maximum Winning Tickets per User: 1 Ticket
5. Total SUI for Each Winning Ticket: 10,000 SUI (1,000 USD)
6. Spotlight Token Sale Price: 1 SUI = 0.1 USD
7. Token Sale Format: Hold & Gain Lottery Tickets
8. Spotlight Token Distribution Plan: 1/13 will be unlocked on the Token Generation Event (TGE). After 30 days, an additional 1/13 shall be released monthly, such that all Spotlight allocations are released within twelve months from the TGE date.

How to Participate (Pool A): (Register Now)

From 00:00 on April 15, 2023 to 16:00 on April 22, 2023 (UTC), KuCoin will randomly take hourly snapshots of users' USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, and KCS total balances. The hourly average USDT-denominated Net Asset Value (NAV) of USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, and KCS will determine the final number of lottery tickets each user can receive. Winners will be chosen in a lottery draw after the subscription period.

To be eligible for participation, users are required to have a daily average USDT-denominated Net Asset Value (NAV) of at least $50. The more holdings a user has, the more tickets they will receive.

The detailed rules are as follows:

(*Sub-accounts cannot participate in the Token Sale as independent accounts. However, the tokens held in the Sub-accounts will be combined with the token holdings in the Master account to calculate the Average Daily Holdings.)

6. Spotlight Token Sale Price: 1 SUI = 0.03 USD
7. Token Sale Format: Allowlist provided by the Sui Foundation
8. Spotlight Token Distribution: 100% will be unlocked at mainnet launch

How to Participate (Pool B): (register now)

This pool is open to the Sui ecosystem contributors only. To participate in Spotlight Pool B, users must have been officially allowlisted by the Sui Foundation. The Sui Foundation will provide the allowlist with the qualified users' email addresses and names, which shall be used for verification during the Calculation Period. The allowlisted users must be registered or newly registered on KuCoin using the same email address and names; otherwise, the users may have no access to purchase the tokens.

From 01:30 on April 20, 2023 to 16:00 on April 22, 2023 (UTC) (estimated timeline), all the allowlist users must complete all subscription processes (pass KYC2, not from restricted areas, and agree with the Purchase Agreement) and click the ‘Register’ button on the Token Sale page. (allowlist users can finish KYC2 in advance)

During this period, users' holdings will be calculated in hourly snapshots for each day.

Pool B: 01:30 on April 20, 2023 to 16:00 on April 22, 2023 (UTC) (estimated timeline)

Ticket Calculation: 16:00 on April 22, 2023 to 12:00 on April 23, 2023 (UTC)

Lottery Ticket Announcement: 13:00 on April 23, 2023 (UTC)

Token Distribution (Sui Mainnet Launch): To be determined

KuCoin will deduct the corresponding amount of USDT from the qualified users’ Trading Account and distribute the corresponding amount of SUI. If the deduction is successful, the SUI will be distributed immediately to the users’ Main Account. Please make sure you have enough USDT in your Trading account; otherwise, your eligibility to purchase in the Spotlight will be lost.

For all lottery winners, we highly recommend depositing at least 1,000 USDT in your TRADING ACCOUNT during the token distribution period (SUI Mainnet Launch period).

To participate in the Spotlight event, please ensure your account meets the following criteria:

1. Complete KYC2 (Advanced Identification Verification) before 16:00 on April 22, 2023 (UTC). (Users who fail to pass KYC2 will not be eligible for the subscription to the Spotlight event.)
2. The users from the following countries/areas are not supported for the token purchase: Albania, Barbados, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Cuba, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Eritrea, Haiti, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Iran, Jamaica, Japan, Lebanon, Lybia, Mali, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Canada, Panama, People's Republic of China, Senegal, Singapore, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Uganda, United States of America, including all US territories, Venezuela, Belarus, Russia, Ukraine.
3. Purchase Agreement Signed.
4. After completing the steps above, make sure to click the ‘Register’ button on the Spotlight page.
