Q: Tell the audience about CyberConnect and what it does exactly.

Shiyu: CyberConnect is a decentralized social network protocol that empowers users to own and control their social data like identity, content, and connections while allowing developers to build innovative new apps permissionless. This means that users no longer have to be locked into one app or platform and can take their connections, posts, and audience from one platform to another. This also means that developers can compete on the best service provided and not who has the most number of users locked into their platform.

Over 30 apps have been built on the CyberConnect protocol, with Link3 being the most popular. Link3 is an app also made by our team, which basically is the best social platform in web3 to build and discover new communities. Over 2,600 communities use Link3 to engage with their audiences, and overall, the cyberconnect protocol has 1.2M profiles.

Q: Can you tell us more about Link3 and how our audience can discover new communities to get involved?

Shiyu: Link3 is a self-serve web3 social network. Interested users can go to link3.to and create their profile in a matter of seconds by connecting their wallet and minting a CyberID. We actually have an offer going on right now where if you mint your CyberID today, we will refund 100% of the cost of your handle as gas credit on your account. Once users have that cyberId, they can simply start following organizations on Link3 and check out their upcoming events or blog posts. Organizations have all kinds of rewards and incentives for users to engage with their events and content.

Q: What role does the CYBER token play in the protocol?

Shiyu: CYBER is the native utility and governance token of the CyberConnect protocol. It mainly has two functions:

● CYBER holders will be able to participate in discussions and vote upon future technical improvements in the protocol.

● CYBER will be used as the mode of payment for our products like the recently introduced CyberWallet.

Q: What Is CyberWallet?

Shiyu: We haven’t officially launched CyberWallet yet, but we did a small soft launch a few months back to get feedback from a small set of users. But basically, CyberWallet is an ERC-4337 compatible smart contract wallet. It’s an account-abstracted wallet, which makes the experience of doing blockchain transactions much simpler and safer. We built CyberWallet because we saw first-hand the struggles users have in interacting with blockchain-based applications, which can be very complex.

CyberWallet can help unlock mass user onboarding onto web3 and make this industry more accessible to regular people. We’ll be introducing a number of new features to CyberWallet in the coming weeks that will help users grow on their web3 journey. Q: How did your team start CyberConnect, and what was the inspiration?

Shiyu: Our team has been working in the social/content space for almost 6 years now. Our first company was called Dlive, which was a decentralized live streaming platform where we were focused on helping creators monetize their content better and directly connect with their audience instead of a platform like YouTube or Twitch controlling that relationship. That company was eventually acquired. After that, the team got together and started to think about some of the other big challenges in the social/creator space and came across the problems of centralized social graphs and identity systems. Thus, CyberConnect was born.

Q: What does the future of CyberConnect look like?

Shiyu: Our team’s strength is building great products that users love. So, we will continue building consumer products that help users connect more meaningfully and grow their wealth.

Q: Many projects have problems with UI / UX, and this one turns off new users. How do you plan to improve the interaction with new users and with users outside the crypto space?

Shiyu: Creating a better UI/UX for onboarding the next billion users is one of our missions at CyberConnect. CyberWallet will be our main endeavor for this. We are trying and testing cutting-edge techs to lower the barrier to using the wallet. Big updates were coming soon. Stay tuned!

Q: Is your project a community only for English-speaking countries or for users not of other languages?

Shiyu: We have a well-distributed community around the world. English is not the only language community at CyberConnect. We are also very popular in Japan, Taiwan, Russia, Vietnam, and so on. Feel free to join our Discord and discover more!

Q: What is the most ambitious goal of your project? Could you share with us any upcoming updates?

Shiyu: Our most ambitious goals are:

1. Onboarding the next billion users onto Web3 via CyberWallet;

2. Create a killer app on the top of the CyberConnect protocol.

Shiyu: The Discord channel will be the best place for community members to stay connected with CyberConnect. We regularly post the most updated info in Discord.
