Q: Can you please provide a brief introduction to the background and mission of the Lifeform project?
Joanna: Lifeform was born from a vision of inclusivity, aiming to facilitate the integration of the next billion users into the Web3 revolution. We do this through our innovative approach to digital identities, exemplified by our introduction of hyper-realistic 3D virtual human avatars. These avatars, based on NFT technology, are accessible across both Web3 and traditional Web2 platforms, enhancing user engagement and providing a unique identity experience.
With our Virtual Human Editor tool and cross-blockchain NFT storage solutions, we make creating and managing digital identities smooth and intuitive. This is just part of how we’re simplifying complex technologies to welcome newcomers into the Web3 space.
Moreover, we've launched the Lifeform Universal Domain, which offers domain names with the .btc suffix. This simplifies authentication and user positioning across blockchain networks, allowing users complete control over their identity information. By leveraging the robust network of Bitcoin, we ensure these identities are globally recognized and secure.
Our vision for the future involves expanding this ecosystem across a diverse range of applications—work, socializing, entertainment, and finance—all within the emerging metaverse. Our goal is to replace outdated username and password systems with animated virtual human avatars that serve as both authentication credentials and personal embodiments across all interactions.

Q: Could you share some of the major milestones achieved in the past?
Joanna: Our journey began with a strategic seed financing from Binance Labs Fund in August 2023. This initial investment set the stage for a series of innovative developments that have significantly shaped our platform.
Following our seed financing, we launched the UE5 Virtual Human Editor in November 2022. This tool was a game-changer, marking the first use of Unreal Engine 5 to create virtual human avatars. It allowed users, perhaps many of you here, to meet your virtual selves in the Web3 space, providing a novel way to interact with digital identities. The editor was designed to be user-friendly, ensuring that anyone could easily create and manage their digital personas. This tool wasn't just a standalone product; it played a crucial role in “BuildtheBlock,” the first-ever Web3 reality show hosted by Binance Labs, where we served as the exclusive technical solution provider.
In December 2022, we co-hosted the SuperAvatar quiz event with BNB Chain and Hooked, which saw 42,607 participants, with 10,766 winners sharing a prize pool of $100,000. This event was a fantastic display of community engagement and showcased the potential of interactive digital experiences. Then, building on this success, the Super Avatar II event attracted over 731,000 participants, further cementing our community's active participation in our events.
An integral part of our platform’s early development was the integration of the Lifeform Visual DID-SDK. This technology enabled visual DID to become the login credential for all Web3 applications, deepening the sense of identity and belonging among our users.

A landmark development has been the launch of the Lifeform Universal Domain, a pioneering solution in the digital identity space. Joanna: Absolutely! The first quarter of 2024 is going to be groundbreaking for Lifeform as we launch the Full Chain Domain. We're also rolling out compatible versions of our Lifeform Universal Domain for major networks like EVM, Solana, and BTC, ensuring that our users enjoy seamless experiences no matter their blockchain of choice.
Cross-chain functionality is a key part of our Q1 plans. We’re initiating cross-chain payment functionality to enable multi-chain asset queries and multi-channel integration. In Q2, we’re focusing on expanding the Universal Domain Ecosystem. Additionally, we're working to expand our domain’s compatibility with other major blockchain network, such as Polkadot and Cosmos, making our platform even more versatile.

For Q3 and Q4, our focus shifts towards product optimization. We'll enhance the user interface and operational processes of the Lifeform Universal Domain to ensure that it’s not only functional but also a joy to use. Additionally, we plan to integrate more applications into the ecosystem, such as decentralized exchanges and DeFi platforms, which will enrich our users’ experiences and provide even more value.
Q: Can you share Lifeform’s future plans?
Joanna: For those using Unreal Engine, we're rolling out Web3 plugins that simplify the creation and distribution of ERC-1155 assets. This means you can directly implement these assets into the client side without a hitch. And for those using Unity or other engines, don’t worry, we have specialized adaptation plugins on the way to ensure everyone can access our advanced features seamlessly.
As we deepen our integration within the Bitcoin ecosystem, our goal is to enhance the cross-chain functionality and scalability of the Lifeform Universal Domain. We’re actively working to strengthen our ties with Bitcoin-centric projects and increase our engagement within the community.
