Q: What is zkLink?

Catherine: zkLink aggregates and unifies liquidity across Layer 2 rollups and Layer 1 blockchains. zkLink offers two core solutions: zkLink Nova and zkLink X, using zero-knowledge technology to unify liquidity access across connected blockchains and rollups.

zkLink Nova is a Layer-3 network that integrates assets, liquidity, and dApps from Ethereum L2s into a single, secure, and efficient EVM-compatible platform.

zkLink X is an application-specific scaling engine for multi-chain dApp deployment, liquidity aggregation, and improved performance across various blockchain networks, including both L1s and L2s.

Q: What is ZKL?

Catherine: ZKL serves as the governance and utility token for the zkLink protocol. Users who hold ZKL tokens on the zkLink Nova network are deemed to be stakers. The stakers of ZKL are entitled to participate in the governance of zkLink Protocol. Snapshot is applied as the tool for protocol governance. Users’ voting power is decided by their ERC20-balance-of-ZKL token held on the zkLink Nova network.

For zkLink Nova: The native gas token of zkLink Nova is ETH. However, users will have the option to pay the gas cost in ZKL at a discount rate when conducting transactions on Nova.

Community Treasury (29.875%):

Community Rewards (10%): 50% unlocked at TGE for early adopter rewards. 50% for future rewards.

Community Treasury Reserve (15.875%): TBD by DAO governance on a case by case basis.

Community Dev Incentive & Bug Bounty (4%): 30% unlock at TGE, followed by a 1 year of monthly linear vesting.

Liquidity Reserve (4%):

Liquidity Reserve for Liquidity Provision on CEX & DEX (4%): 50% unlock at TGE, followed by 1 year of monthly linear vesting. When in circulation, the strategy is to maintain a neutral token balance.

Ecosystem Development (22.5%):

Developer Grants, Eco fund, Marketing, BD, Liquidity Alliance, etc (22.5%): 20% unlocked at TGE, followed by 2 years of linear monthly vesting.

Founding Team & Advisors (20%):

6 months lock-up, followed by 3 years of monthly linear vesting.

Early Private Purchasers (20.5%)

Pre-seed round (8%): 5 months lock-up, followed by 27 months of linear vesting.

Seed round (7.8%): 4 months lock-up, followed by 27 months of linear vesting.

Private round (4.7%): 3 months lock-up, followed by 27 months of linear vesting.

CoinList Sale (3.125%):

30% unlock at TGE, followed by 9 months of monthly linear vesting.
