Node

Fortgeschritten

In crypto, a node refers to any device connected to the blockchain and running the blockchain software. The function of a node is to contribute to validating transactions and producing new blocks in which these transactions can be recorded.

In addition, a node also stores the entire history of transactions that have taken place on the blockchain. Every time a node creates a new block, it has to update all other nodes that make up the blockchain so they can update their records and add the new data to this history or distributed ledger.

A blockchain node can be operated by anyone who has the required hardware to comply with the standards set by each network. Nodes are also responsible for maintaining the distributed consensus mechanism within a blockchain, ensuring the validity and security of the data they store and process.
