FAQ

1. What is Range Bound?

Range Bound is a structured product designed to provide substantial returns even during periods of market consolidation. By accurately predicting the price range of an asset, you earn higher yields.

2. How do I subscribe to Range Bound?

On the Range Bound page, select the cryptocurrency of interest, choose your predicted price range and time frame, and click Subscribe. Then, select the risk ratio you're willing to assume and enter your investment amount.

3. How do I determine the value of my order once I'm subscribed?

After purchase, the value of your order is pegged to the spot market value of the corresponding currency.

Scenario 1:

If the spot market price does not exceed the target range until the due date, you will receive high earnings on the due date.

Scenario 2:

If the spot market price exceeds the target range before the due date, the order will be knocked out and the value will be locked. The order is settled within two hours on the day of the knockout.

4. At what time does settlement occur?

If the order is not knocked out, it will be settled based on the order value at 08:00 (UTC) of the due date.

If the order is knocked out early, it will be settled based on the order value within two hours after the knockout.

You can view the exact order value on the order's position page.

5. Are there any risks associated with Range Bound?

Range Bound carries a certain level of risk.

The subscribed assets will be locked and cannot be canceled or redeemed before the settlement date.

During this time frame, if the price of the underlying asset exceeds the target range at any point, early settlement occurs. The final amount received upon settlement may be less than your initial investment.

As such, please be aware of the potential investment risk. Before subscribing, ensure that you have read and understood the Range Bound product terms. KuCoin is not responsible for any losses due to price volatility.

6. Can a subscription order be canceled?

After subscribing, the investment amount and APR are fixed, and orders can't be cancelled. Please bear this in mind when making your purchases.

7. How are earnings calculated?

If the asset's price stays within the target range:

Returns = Principle * Estimated APR * Days Subscribed / 365
If the asset's price exceeds the target range:

Settlement Amount = Principle * (1 - Risk Ratio)

8. When will my earnings be credited?

Each subscribed product has its own settlement date.

If the order is not knocked out, earnings are distributed starting at 10:00 (UTC) on the settlement date and will be credited to the account within 3 hours.

If the order is knocked out early, the funds will be settled and distributed to the account within 2 hours after the knockout.

9. How can I view my subscription history?

You can view active and past subscriptions in the Account Details tab of your Financial Account.
