Borrowing and Lending Services of Ethereum (ETH) Will Be Temporarily Closed
Dear KuCoin Users,
KuCoin Margin will support the upcoming ETH merge. Please click the link below to view the specific plan in detail: KuCoin will support the upcoming Ethereum merge.
From 15:00:00 on September 14, 2022 to 03:00:00 on September 15, 2022 (UTC), KuCoin will suspend the borrowing and lending services of ETH in the cross-margin and isolated margin. The Auto-Renew will not be available during the closure time.If users have ETH debts, the system will repay the ETH debts by partially liquidating users’ positions.
Note: Due to the uncertainty of the fork time, the recovery time of the borrowing and lending services of ETH may be adjusted automatically without further notice.
If you have any outstanding ETH loans at the time of the snapshot, you will have to return the forked tokens to the lenders, regardless of being listed on KuCoin. Therefore, at 00:30:00 on September 15, 2022 (UTC), KuCoin will temporarily suspend the transferring out service of all assets in the Margin account for the users who still have ETH debts. The above functions of users who still have ETH debts at the time of the snapshot will continue to be frozen until the corresponding forked tokens are returned to the lenders. To avoid the inconvenience caused by the above operations, it is recommended that you repay the ETH loans before the ETH merge!
For the specific time of the snapshot, please stay tuned for our further announcement.
