Craig Wright

Craig Wright is an Australian computer scientist and businessman who has made claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous individual or group of individuals who developed Bitcoin and the Bitcoin white paper. However, his claim has been met with widespread skepticism and remains unproven.

Wright has been involved in the cryptocurrency industry for many years. In 2015, he was identified by both Wired and Gizmodo as a possible candidate for Satoshi Nakamoto, but both publications later expressed doubts about their findings.

In 2016, Wright publicly claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto and attempted to provide cryptographic proof by signing a message with a private key associated with the first Bitcoin transaction. However, many experts in the crypto community disputed the validity of this proof.

Wright's claim to be Satoshi has led to several legal disputes. He has also been involved in the development of Bitcoin SV (Satoshi Vision), a fork of Bitcoin Cash, which he claims is the "original" Bitcoin as envisioned by Satoshi Nakamoto.

Despite his controversial role in the crypto community, Wright's actions and statements continue to influence discussions about Bitcoin's origins and future.
