Ethereum (ETH)

Beginner

Ethereum is an open-source, decentralized blockchain network that supports smart contracts which power decentralized applications (dApps). The Ethereum peer-to-peer network allows users to conduct transactions with each other without the need for a central authority or intermediary. All transactions recorded on the Ethereum blockchain are immutable, secure, and completely transparent.

Its native token, Ether (ETH), is the second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization after Bitcoin. The Ethereum blockchain is the leading network that runs dApps across DeFi, NFT, gaming, and several other applications. ETH can be used to transfer payments digitally, to purchase goods and services online, and as an investment instrument and store of value.
