As per CoinTelegraph, Audius has announced a new multi-territory licensing agreement with the International Copyright Enterprise (ICE), enabling over 330,000 music rights holders to earn royalties across a broader territorial footprint. The partnership, announced on December 19, aims to leverage blockchain technology to empower creators by providing a direct pathway for rights holders to receive royalties for their music on Audius. This deal covers regions including sub-Saharan Africa and the Asia Pacific. Audius, a decentralized music community platform, has been actively pursuing similar groundbreaking agreements to promote equity in the music royalty landscape. The platform also supports artists through direct U.S. dollar payments from fans, fostering a transparent and artist-centric music economy. Tim Rawlinson, ICE's vice president of Licensing, highlighted the importance of embracing platforms like Audius to benefit creators in the evolving international music ecosystem.
