According to CoinTelegraph, Ethereum-based non-fungible token (NFT) collections significantly increased last week, driving the overall digital collectible weekly sales volumes to $304 million. Data from CryptoSlam on December 21 revealed a 76% week-on-week increase in Ethereum NFT sales, reaching $201 million, which accounted for 66% of all NFT sales volume over the past seven days. In comparison, Bitcoin-based NFTs recorded $40 million in sales, while Solana-based collections had $29 million. The Pudgy Penguins collection led the week with a $54.4 million volume, followed by LilPudgys with nearly $20 million. Other notable collections included Azuki, which surged by 130% to $18 million, and Doodles with $13 million. Despite the strong performance in NFT sales, the Pudgy Penguins (PENGU) token saw a significant drop, plummeting over 50% since its launch. December's NFT sales have already reached $678 million, marking the highest-performing month since May.
