In accordance with The KuCoin Team, KuCoin will facilitate the token swap and rebranding of Fantom (FTM) to Sonic (S). The swap will occur automatically for FTM holders on KuCoin. Key arrangements include the closure of FTM deposit, withdrawal, and trading services at 3:30:00 on January 13, 2025 (UTC). KuCoin will take snapshots of users' FTM assets at 12:00:00 on the same day, converting FTM to S tokens at a 1:1 ratio. Post-swap, S token services will be available, with further announcements to follow. A minimum of 1.2 FTM is required for eligibility, and only balances in Spot accounts will be considered. FTM tokens in pending transactions during snapshots will not count. After closure, FTM will no longer be supported, and KuCoin will not cover losses for subsequent deposits. ERC-20 FTM tokens will also be swapped to mainnet S tokens.
