The funds are intended to scale the network infrastructure in preparation for its mainnet launch, anticipated in early 2025 on Ethereum. Lens is tailored for SocialFi applications, offering features like Accounts, Usernames, Graphs, Feeds, and Groups, alongside monetization options. The platform promises users ownership and control over their data. Lens is built with ZKsync and utilizes the Avail data availability protocol. It has partnered with notable entities such as Alchemy, Chainlink, The Graph, Circle, Consensys' MetaMask, and Uniswap. The funding round also saw participation from Avail, Circle, Consensys, Foresight Ventures, Wintermute Ventures, and several angel investors. Lens was launched by Stani Kulechov in May 2022, with Aave Companies, now rebranded as Avara, supporting the initiative.
