Issues with Asset Withdrawals
Q1: I am from United States of America, I am required to withdraw my assets by 00:00 (UTC-5) on December 17, 2024, how to make a withdrawal?
A1: Please be noted that you can easily withdraw your assets without any restrictions and worries.
1. Simply head over to the KuCoin withdrawal page at https://www.kucoin.com/assets/withdraw or navigate to 'Assets' -> 'Withdrawal' -> 'Choose Crypto' on the KuCoin app.
2. On the withdrawal page, select the cryptocurrency you wish to withdraw from the list.
3. Enter the wallet address where you want to send your cryptocurrency. Choose the appropriate network for the withdrawal. Make sure the network matches the one used by your destination wallet to avoid any loss of funds.
4. The page will display your remaining withdrawal amount for the next 24 hours. Please make sure to follow the withdrawal limits to complete the withdrawal.
If you encounter any issues with withdrawing your balance, such as having less than the minimum withdrawal amount, for your withdrawal convenience, you can and should only trade your assets into stable coins like USDT, USDC, or DAI on the spot trading page.
1. You can access the spot trading page at https://www.kucoin.com/trade or navigate to the 'trade' tab on the KuCoin app, please be aware that the "convert feature" is not available, don't use the convert feature for this purpose.
2. On the spot trading page, select the trading pair for the asset you want to sell. For example, if you want to sell Bitcoin (BTC) for USDT, select the BTC/USDT trading pair, to sell your assets for stable coins.
3. After the trade is executed, check your balance to ensure you have received the stable coins (USDT, USDC, or DAI).
To proceed with this, please close and disregard the KYC verification pop-up that may appear. After doing so, you can continue with the selling and withdrawal process.
Q2: How can I sell small amounts of cryptocurrencies (less than the minimum withdrawal amount), unsupported cryptocurrencies on the other platform, or multiple cryptocurrencies into a single token for withdrawal?
A2: To make your withdrawals more convenient, we have enabled the option to trade your assets into stable coins. You can and should only trade your assets into stable coins such as USDT, USDC, or DAI. Please follow these steps:
- Access the spot trading page at https://www.kucoin.com/trade or navigate to the 'trade' tab on the KuCoin app
- On the spot trading page, select the trading pair for the asset you want to sell. For example, if you want to sell Bitcoin (BTC) for USDT, select the BTC/USDT trading pair, to sell your assets for stable coins.
- After the trade is executed, check your balance to ensure you have received the stable coins (USDT, USDC, or DAI).
Q3: What steps should I follow to withdraw my cryptocurrencies to my bank account?
A3: Currently, we do not support converting cryptocurrencies to fiat USD for withdrawal. To convert your crypto to fiat USD, please withdraw your crypto assets to another exchange that offers this conversion.
Q4: How to get low withdrawal fee of stable coin?
A4: To make your withdrawals more convenient, we have enabled the option to trade your assets into stable coins. You can and should only trade your assets into stable coins such as USDT, USDC, or DAI. Once you hold USDT, DAI or USDC, you can select a supported network for your withdrawal. Choose a network that offers both the minimum withdrawal amount and the lowest withdrawal fee for the cryptocurrency you are holding, whether it is USDT, DAI or USDC.

Issues with Identity Verification
Q5: When I select USA as my country, it is not supported, how can I proceed with trading and withdrawing my asset if I cannot verify my identity?
A5: KuCoin may prompt you to complete KYC verification to access certain account features. Please close and disregard any KYC verification pop-ups that may appear. Without completing KYC verification, you can still perform the following actions:
- Sell your balance for stable coins (USDT, USDC, or DAI).
- Withdraw these stable coins to other exchanges or private wallets.
Please note that you can only execute transactions to sell your balance for stable coins, stable coins cannot be traded for other tokens any more.
Q6: Identity verification is required to reset Google 2FA or the trading password. However, as I am located in a restricted service area within the USA, will you be able to support the verification of my identity?
A6: To reset your security settings, including unbinding Google 2FA or changing your trading password, you need to upload your identity information for verification. This step is separate from KYC verification and is specifically intended to confirm account ownership. Please upload your identity documents so we can proceed with resetting your security settings. Your information will be reviewed promptly to assist you with the reset.
Unavailability of Security Settings
Q7: I forget trading password, which is required for withdrawals, how to reset it?
A7: Please refer to the following steps to reset your trading password.
- In "Security" Settings, hit the "Change" button next to Trading Password
Select "Forgot trading password? " at the bottom of the page. - Complete the security verification.
- Complete the Identity Verification process.
- Once you’ve submitted your request, your request will be processed in approximately 1–3 business days.
Note:
- When completing Identity Verification, upload the required photos and follow the instructions on the page closely, or your request may be rejected.
- Withdrawals and sending Red Packets are disabled for 24 hours after changing your trading password to protect your assets.
- The password reset is effective immediately upon completion. Refresh or restart the page after receiving a confirmation email.
- If you’ve forgotten your trading password and also lost 2FA access to your account, reach out to our support team by submitting a ticket.
Q8: My Google 2fa code is unavailable, how can I reset it?
A8: As per your inquiry, please follow the steps below to unbind the G2FA:
- Input your KuCoin email address and password on the KuCoin login page and click “Log in”.
- Click “2-FA Unavailable”.
3. If you remember the trading password, input the email code and trading password.
4. Upload your ID information, and the Google 2FA will be unbound within three business days.

- Please note that the unbinding process will temporarily suspend withdrawal services for 24 hours.
- If you’ve forgotten your trading password and also lost G2FA access to your account, reach out to our support team by submitting a ticket.
Q9: I lost my old phone number. How can I unbind my phone as it doesn't support changing to a new US phone number?
A9: We understand you are experiencing difficulties changing your phone number due to the lack of a supported mobile number. We will assist you in unbinding your phone number by verifying your identity manually. Please contact customer service for further assistance.
Difficulties with Exporting Transaction History
Q10: How can I export my transaction history for tax filing purposes?
A10: To export your transaction history for tax filing purposes, you can download and check your spot, futures, margin, fiat, and account history since September 16, 2017. Please access this link: https://www.kucoin.com/account/download to export your account history. If you have reached your monthly limit of 8 export opportunities, a manual export will be necessary. In such cases, please contact our support team for assistance.

Account Restrictions for Non-USA Users
Q11: I am not from USA, but I travel to the USA temporarily, will my account be effected by 00:00 (UTC-5) on December 17, 2024?
A11: For non-US users, before 00:00 (UTC-5) December 17, 2024, your services could be used as usual if you visit the platform with a US IP address. However, after 00:00 (UTC-5) December 17, 2024, if you attempt to access the platform with a US IP address, you may encounter limitations on your account.
Therefore, if you are not from United States and from a region where our services are available, please access our platform from a supported location and complete KYC verification using acceptable non-US documents on the KYC verification page.
If you have complete non-US KYC verification, please ensure that you access our platform from a location where our services are supported and available. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
