July 23, 2019 – KuCoin, an IDG-backed international cryptocurrency exchange, announced today that well-known crypto fund GBIC and global consulting firm Block72 will join its Global Titan Ambassador program. The two leading blockchain organizations will work with KuCoin on the discovery and acceleration of early blockchain projects, as well as KuCoin and KCS ecosystem development.
Established in New York in 2017, GBIC (Global Blockchain Innovative Capital) is actively investing in the United States, China, and Korea. These countries are leading the recent blockchain and cryptocurrency revolutions. Data collected by Thomson Reuters from the international patent organization showed that about 80% of the 406 blockchain patents in 2017 were from China, the U.S., and Korea. Meanwhile, according to Blockdata, more than half of the active blockchain projects are based in these three nations.
GBIC is committed to incubating and empowering early-stage technology projects, with an investment philosophy that centers on blockchain, digital assets, and distributed ledger technology. It has invested in Aelf, Zilliqa, Cred, Thunder, Cortex, Theta, DATA, Storm, and other promising blockchain projects, while also helping the long-term growth of blockchain projects through its subsidiary Block 72. KuCoin, one of the most popular cryptocurrency trading platforms, has been known for its high standards when it comes to project listings, as well as the wide range of tradable digital assets. As of now, the platform has listed over 180 tokens with nearly 400 trading pairs, and many projects like Aergo, Metadium, and QuarkChain have chosen KuCoin to be their first exchange.
"For exchanges, the quality of listed projects is always one of the core values, and for investors, trading on platforms that have a high listing standard can help mitigate the investment risk,” said Michael Gan, CEO at KuCoin. "From its inception, KuCoin has been dedicated to discovering and listing promising blockchain projects, and we believe by joining forces with GBIC and Block72, we can find more hidden gems and better assist them in going to the market.”
Launched in August last year, the KuCoin Global Titan Ambassador Program is designed to partner top blockchain organizations with the platform to find the best blockchain and crypto projects. Through the partnership, projects suggested by ambassadors will be checked by the KuCoin project operating team first and given fast-track treatment if approved for listing. NEO Global Capital (NGC), Breyer Labs, LFG Global, CV Labs, Tokengate and Block Crafters have previously been announced as KuCoin global ambassadors.
