KuCoin's recent survey, launched as part of the KuCoin Campus initiative, aims to understand global interest in blockchain education and careers. This effort marks the beginning of their educational campaign, focusing on engaging offline interaction to enhance learning. The survey offers crucial insights for a diverse audience, including investors, organizations, and individuals either working in or aspiring to join the blockchain industry. This initiative represents a strategic step towards aligning KuCoin's educational efforts with the evolving needs and interests within the blockchain realm.
This survey report is based on a total sample of 926 participants from those who attended the VTIS 2024 in Vietnam. Survey respondents were polled from Dec 3rd - Dec 4th 2024. The data presented in this report are based on the survey conducted by KuCoin.

92% participants felt positive about the future of cryptocurrencies, 82% participants expressed their interests in blockchain careers, reflecting a promising talent pool that industry partnerships and career guidance can harness.

Most participants (who hold cryptocurrencies) see cryptocurrency assets as a valid means of investment, and a large proportion are also attracted to blockchain technology.
Crafting a Blockchain Career: Diverse Roles and Aspirations
Among all job functions in blockchain industry, data analysis is at the forefront with 24% interest, indicating the value placed on data-driven insights. Close behind are marketing and business roles, capturing 22% and 21% of interest respectively.
The Blockchain Advantage: Unique Benefits of the Industry
The bright industry outlook garnered 26% votes and is considered the top benefit of the blockchain industry, with other advantages including flexible workplaces, flexible compensation plans, growth in professional skills, and so on, each garnering around 20% votes.
Survey Participant Demographics
Of all 926 participants, 56% of them are male and 44% are female. The age distribution is youthful inclination with 48% under 25 and 28% between 25-40, indicating early and mid-career professionals, especially early-career professionals, are showing a strong interest in blockchain technology.This shows the dawn of sustainable development of blockchain technology in the future.
The career backgrounds are diverse, with 32% being students and 22% being freelancers, and a significant portion from the financial and also science, while others include participants from diverse backgrounds such as healthcare, education, manufacturing, and so on. It demonstrates the interdisciplinary allure of blockchain and the blockchain industry's strong inclusiveness, which needs to be fostered by adopting cross-sectoral educational measures to cultivate the multifaceted blockchain ecosystem.

This survey reveals a strong allure towards blockchain jobs, driven by the industry's bright future and flexibility in work arrangements and compensation. Participants are motivated by rapid career growth and opportunities for professional skills development. In-demand roles include Data Analysis, Marketing, and Business Development, highlighting a diverse skill set sought after in the blockchain sector. This enthusiasm signifies a clear interest in various aspects of blockchain careers among respondents.
