What 2023 Holds For Us

Looking back on 2022, it’s been a year of ups and downs and a year of great changes to the structure of the industry. The entire sector experienced the tail end of the last bull market at the beginning of the year, the Luna crash in May, and the FTX collapse at the end of the year. Things moved so quickly that it was difficult to take them all in. But looking back, adversity builds fortitude, and the crypto industry will undoubtedly usher into a prosperous future.

As People’s exchange, users are always our core and at the heart of what we do. I would like to highlight the milestones we’ve achieved in 2022 with you.

In 2022,

• KuCoin completed $150 million in Pre-B series funding with a valuation of US$10 billion. We are delighted to build the future of the crypto industry and Web 3 together with our esteemed partners. The number of KuCoin users tripled, growing from 10 million in December 2021 to 27 million as of December 2022. Our thriving user base reflects the prosperity of the crypto industry. Together with our 27 million KuCoiners, we will accomplish our "from geek to masses" mission.
• We and the whole industry also received some skepticism and suspicion. To dispel them, we stayed true to our transparent and user-oriented approach by releasing critical data, including some of the hot and cold wallet addresses and Merkle tree proof-of-reserves. We will continue to do so on a regular basis.
• KuCoin celebrated its fifth anniversary in 2022. We gathered our partners, industry leaders, and users to review the great changes in the industry in the past five years.
