As reported by CoinTelegraph, Georgia Representative Mike Collins has disclosed investments in various altcoins, including Ether, since taking office in 2023. On January 1, 2025, Collins filed a financial disclosure report with the US House of Representatives, revealing purchases of the Ski Mask Dog (SKI) token, ranging from $1,001 to $15,000. These transactions occurred between December 1 and December 3, 2024, during a period of rising cryptocurrency prices. Collins, a Republican, was reelected in Georgia's 10th congressional district in November 2024. His investment activities align with the requirements of the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act, which mandates US lawmakers to disclose stock and cryptocurrency transactions. Despite his crypto investments, Collins has not made digital assets a central policy focus. The disclosure comes amid ongoing discussions about potential conflicts of interest in congressional trading activities.
