Shark Fin: Introduction and How to Use
1. What is Shark Fin?
Shark Fin is a structured financial product launched by KuCoin. To use, you simply choose a reasonable price range based on the volatility of the specific cryptocurrency. Shark Fin allows for potentially higher returns while also providing a certain level of principal protection.
Bullish Shark Fin
A Bullish Shark Fin means that for the selected price range, the higher the settlement price at maturity, the higher the rate of return.
Bearish Shark Fin
Conversely, for a Bearish Shark Fin within the selected price range, the lower the settlement price at maturity, the higher the rate of return.
2. How do I subscribe to Shark Fin?

On the KuCoin homepage, go to Earn → Shark Fin from the top navigation bar. Choose the target cryptocurrency, price range, maturity date, and rate of return, then click Subscribe.
App:
Go to the Shark Fin page through the Earn tab in the KuCoin app. Choose the target cryptocurrency, price range, maturity date, and rate of return, then tap Subscribe for the Shark Fin product.
3. How are Shark Fins settled?
After subscribing to a Shark Fin, the settlement process occurs from 7:00 and 7:30 (UTC) on the maturity date. The settlement price is calculated based on the average price between 7:00 to 7:30 (UTC). If this price falls within the selected high-yield price range, the rate of return will be calculated accordingly. Settlement Amount = Principal + Principal × (1 + Rate of Return)
4. How can I view subscribed Shark Fin products?

Go to the Financial Account page via the top menu to see the Shark Fin products you have subscribed to. Click on the details to view the status of purchased products.
App:
In the app, access your Financial Account page from the bottom menu to see your subscribed Shark Fin products. Tap on the products to view their status.
5. How do I view the settlement amount for Shark Fin products?

Go to your Financial Account page via the top menu, select Account Details, and filter by Shark Fin product type to see their settlement details.
