Alibaba states that the Qwen series has released over 460 open-source models, with more than 300,000 derivative models emerging within its ecosystem. According to Hugging Face’s report, “The State of Open Models,” Google’s models are projected to reach approximately 418 million downloads in 2026, while Meta’s are estimated at around 227 million.
