On July 8, 2026, AngelList announced it will cease support for crypto investments by July 31, 2026. This follows the discontinuation of its third-party crypto payment service. USDC, USDT, DAI, and ETH will no longer be accepted for new investments, fundraising, or fund purchases. ACH and wire transfers remain available. Pending crypto commitments must be transferred by July 30 or switched to wire transfers. Crypto today sees another platform stepping back. AngelList aims to reintroduce crypto funding with new providers, but no timeline has been provided.

According to ME News, on July 8 (UTC+8), AngelList, a venture capital firm, announced on its official help page that, effective July 31, 2026, the AngelList platform will no longer support cryptocurrency payments for investment and fundraising. The announcement stated that its third-party cryptocurrency payment processor will be discontinuing related services, thereby suspending the option to complete new investments, capital raises, or fund rollovers using digital assets such as USDC, USDT, DAI, and ETH—until further notice. Other funding methods, including ACH transfers and wire transfers, remain unaffected. Investments completed on or before July 31, 2026, will not be impacted by this change, and no action is required from users. After this date, users must use ACH or wire transfers for payments. For investors with outstanding capital commitments originally intended to be fulfilled via cryptocurrency, AngelList recommends transferring the corresponding crypto assets to their AngelList account for safekeeping by July 30, or switching to wire transfer or ACH for subsequent contributions. AngelList is currently evaluating the possibility of restoring digital asset funding through a new service provider, but no timeline has been confirmed. (Source: Foresight News)
